Lincoln's Guest House, Old Solder's Home, Washington, DC-- December 2008

Lincoln's Guest House, located off of North Capitol Street in Washington, D.C.

While at a dinner party on Christmas Day, this jewel was mentioned.  I had never before heard of President Lincoln's Guest House and despite my constant travels on North Capitol, I had never happened upon a sign or any indication of its existence.  Is it truly remarkable in terms of architecture? No.  Does the location afford a marvelous view of the city?  No, I can't say that it does.  However, the morsels of history that you will bite into and digest make it well worth the visit.
